Service Writer Commercial Trucks Full-Time

Falzone’s Towing Service, Inc.., the leading towing and hauling company in the northeast is looking for a Service Writer to assist in our Service Department. This position is for our first and or second shifts.

Job duties Include:

Determines commercial truck and diesel engine problems and services listening to customer’s description of symptoms; clarifying description of problems; conduct inspections with mechanics; checking vehicle maintenance records; examining service schedules.
Coordinates with day shift service staff to continue work in progress
Develops estimates by costing materials, supplies, and labor
Prepares repair orders by describing symptoms, problems, and causes discovered, as well as repairs and services required; obtaining approval signatures; enter information into service database system.
Communicates with customer by explaining estimates and expected return of vehicle.
Requirements:

Experience working in Heavy Truck Dealership or Fleet setting is a major asset and will be preferred.
Candidate must be highly organized, detail oriented, and quality conscious, with proven ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
Ideal candidate has 3-5 years’ experience in Diesel/Automotive Environment. We offer a very competitive wage and comprehensive benefit package.
